In 2014 celebrating Ukraine’s Independence Day had a special meaning for all Ukrainians living abroad. As our soldiers fight for our country at home, we appreciate and value the independence and freedom more than ever before.
Ukrainians from Central Florida got together at a beautiful Wekiwa Springs State Park. The food was in abundance and a special treat of the celebration was a traditional Ukrainian braided bread – Korovai, baked by Olga and beautifully decorated with Trident – national symbol of Ukraine.
We raised $620.00 on T-shirts with Ukrainian national symbols and treats. The funds were sent to Wings Phoenix – army support foundation. Thank you everyone for your contribution!
